Even when Ali says it isn’t a chefs table for us it was the chefs table. The food...was a wonderful “fall-menu” with a very good wine recommendation. The ravioli were perfect, pumpkin with alba truffles. The service was very, very good and also Ali did spent time with us. It was a wonderful evening with good friends in a perfect environment and food. Not the last time that we were here !!!

My wife and I travel a lot and eat out nights a year all over the world and we would both agree this was one of, if not THE, best meal we have ever had. We...ordered a nice bottle fo red wine when we sat down and they decanted it. We then ordered their recommended white wine with the fish dishes. The Chef was walking around talking to people times during the meal. It was a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was probably full. Staff is quirky, we felt they were a bit stuff at first but then started to talk about where we live and a few life stories and all of a sudden thing totally became more fun and engaging. My wife and I commented that several of the tables were clearly pretty uptight and zero interaction with the staff by the diners choice it appeared. The food itself had global influences of flavour. There was a clear Middle Eastern favour in some dishes and others, not at all. Best octopus I have ever had. Fish was amazing. Filet was melt in your mouth. As a side note, there was a table a few over that ordered the crispy duck which they carve at the table. As they were walking past our table (we were near the kitchen) the server stopped and asked it we wanted a small sample and cut a couple of tiny pieces of meat/skin and put them on two forks and handed them to us to try. Probably not high service appropriate but it was fun and it was because we were interacting a bit with the servers while most tables seemed pretty uptight. If I could give this a higher rating I would. My advice......relax and enjoy it, its not cheap but it was worth every penny.

We were warmly welcome... read more The Pageou is inside of a wonderful old building in the first floor. Alone the staircase is very impressive but there is an elevator too. We were warmly welcomed and for the start we had an excellent glass of champaign. The service very kind and...helpful gave us the advise to taste the Chef-Menu Generally they are cooking in Pageou high class food with oriental/ turkish touch and so it started for the starter with a turkish Mezze, excellent the shrimps from Patagonia with a flavor I never tasted before. After that we got a truffled fish passage. The third course has been oriental style Sucuk-Ravioli with scallops with Harissa foam. The mussels perfectly cooked and the aromas from Sucuk and Harissa were present but they did not overly the fine taste of the mussels. Between the next course we got a very good and refreshing Sorbet with mango and passion fruit foam. The main course was a beef fillet with green asparagus, puree of coconut -pumpkin -ginger. The meat was sensational, perfectional cooked and gives you an unbelievable melting in your mouth. The round final of the evening formed a sweet Mezze with flamed cream brûlée, vanilla-lemon ice cream with hazelnut crumble and and and. Amazing. The restaurant is stylish and you will feel very pampered the whole time. I highly recommend this high class restaurant.

The food was very tasty and varied, the wines were top-notch, and the service was very good and friendly. Unfortunately, Ali Güngörmüş wasn't there in person, but we'll just have to come back again.
