What Ορέστης Αγγελίδης doesn't like about Osteria Veneta:
We went there by a recommendation of a friend and can confirm that the food is nice. However we were missing the typical dishes from the Veneto area such as liver and bigoli con anatra. The hostess told us that the German patrons are not...estimators of these dishes and that the staff would need to eat these themselves! All in all good food and kind service, but 100€ for 2 pasta dishes and 2 apetizers, no wine only w... View all feedback.
We were looking for something beyond the standard schnitzel and sausage fare on our last night in Munich, when we spotted Osteria Veneta near the Viktualmarkt. From the moment we entered, we knew it was a special place. The restaurant is intimate and elegant ...run by the most charming Italian couple who also do most of the cookingpreparation. A rolling chalkboard is used to highlight the daily specials, which the owner describes with much passion. As he and his wife speak fluent Italian and German, but limited English, we were treated to a series of delightful pantomimes and sketches and there was much laughter as we “guessed the dish”! The wonderful variety of seafood, game, and pasta courses we finally selected as well as the fresh salad mixed on the spot by the owner’s beautiful wife were absolutely delicious – our plates were shared and quickly cleaned! Though wellsated from the outstanding meal, we ordered dessert to prolong our dining experience and the tiramisu did not disappoint – it was light and the perfect mix of sweetbitter. As we prepared to leave, the owners and their assistants came out to say goodbye to what was truly a most enchanted evening. Do not miss this hidden gem on the Utzschneiderstrasse
The place is beautiful and unique, the service is second to none and the food delicious. The restaurant was right by our hotel and we felt in love just passing by. What a beautiful and unique place. The owners and staff make sure you are...pleased every step of the way. We highly recommend the “Carre” lamb but the menu changes daily. There is no paper menu, they will bring a tall black board handwritten the plates in chalk. Ask for a plate with truffle. As you sit down they already bring some appetizers to start the evening. Everything was delicious
Was in Munich at a hotel close by, wife told me to choose. I chose Osteria. Was empty and quiet. Seemed like it was a family affair. The food was to die for, I had the best veal cutlet I have ever ordered. Fresh is...an understatement, chocolate soufflé for dessert. This place was the BEST
Another restaurant choice by my husband, who insists on eating Italian food as often has he can. We had walked past this place and it seemed to be never open, even when I had called to get a reservation, I was placed in voice messaging....So I was not keen on the results. But, finally my husband booked a reservation and our dining experience was so enjoyable and lovely. The atmosphere was delightfully welcoming, cozy and comfortable. We were greeted by a very lovely Lady, who provided us with choices for seating. She patiently tried to explain the menu, it was in ItalianGerman. The Chef arrived and provided more details and by the time we were ready to order, the young waitress arrived and answered all our remaining questions. The food? Well, the food was delicious, gently prepared and presented. Every bite was dancing with wellblended flavors. Excellent service, food, wine list and atmosphere adding put to a very unique dining experience
Came here on the advice of a colleague and it was perfect. From the moment we entered we felt as if we were in Italy. The wonderful atmosphere lets you leave all your daily work and worries at the door. The staff is professional, warm...and friendly. Marisa is a star She really makes you feel relaxed, and guides you through the menu to assist you and making the perfect choice. The food is fantastic. Made with care and craftsmanship. It was a delight to eat at Osteria Veneta. Perfect in every detail
