I can no longer count the former owners of the l... read more Object: Gasthaus Maxhof in Munich Forstenried is a “open” restaurant in the south of Munich. Because I grew up. I can no longer count the former owners of the last 50 years of a new building. 35-40 years ago, even a Derrick episode was shot here. Our visit to my brother and I came here after my mother's funeral. Since it was a sunny day, we could all sit outside. Without having to pay attention to this Corona ****. Ambience: Modern Bavarian ambience. Like so many other places. A beautiful beer garden and with enough space and toys for the little ones who also enjoy parents. Food: The body was given by me and so as an appetizer we had a pancake soup as main dish pork roast and a 1⁄4 duck. To dessert an apple strudel with vanilla ice cream. The soup was very good without mistakes and trembling. The main dish was very tasty and good. The crust was also perfect. The apple strudel was a finished product and so it was okay. However, the supplements of the main dish were TK dumplings without taste. The sauce is a powder product. What didn't fit the big meat. Service: After a long break, the service was still somewhat rustic, but otherwise very good. WC Parking: The toilets are modern and Piko Bello. Parking in front of the restaurant more rr Conclusion: The food was appropriate for the price. 12,90 for ne 1⁄4 duck is almost too cheap. If it has something to do with quality, it would also justify a higher price. Since the ambience is very beautiful and the neighbor is not exactly arm. Would a higher price and better quality be a better way.

I don'... read more The staff were super friendly! The food was excellent, very large portions! But there was far too little sauce, so you're forced to order more for €2.80! I don't like fries or fried potatoes, so I had Spätzle, but unfortunately, you have to pay an extra €2 for changing the side dish! So too bad!
