Was Denise Kaiser at Hunsinger In Der Neuen Pinakothek a mag?
We decided to stop in for lunch before touring the gallery. There were a few tables available on their patio so we had lunch outside. Service was OK from a friendly fellow. We ordered a couple of Pilsners, an Italian salad and tafelspitz. Both meals...were generous in portions and very tasty. By the time we finished our lunch all tables were taken. It was a wonderful day to eat outside View all feedback.

What Cordula Scholz dislikes about Hunsinger In Der Neuen Pinakothek:
The place looks great and the food was good also. However, all spoiled by an obnoxious waitress, throwing her eyes to heaven and clearly dissatisfied with her day of not her job. Cash only which seems bizarre. I realise this review would have a different...tone if I had encountered one of the more polite members of staff View all feedback.

After we had visited the museum together with my mother, we decided to eat in this restaurant. we ordered her an salad with mushrooms and I ordered oktopus. we waited one, and when the waiter brought us this, he apologized very much and said he would offer us coffee if we had him. I have to say that they were very good. salat already dressed with serrated champignons. the roasted tinten fish with vegetables on a bed of lenses, which seemed to me, cmq great taste. then we ordered two pieces of cake and his espresso. the cakes were also very good. has nothing to do with the extremely heavy German kitchen, but when they brought us the bill and offered us the coffee, they also offered us two pieces of cake. we were surprised we left a high drink money, because in any case it didn't seem to be the case because we waited something, but we're on holiday so without stress and then wait was the quality of the dishes worth.

A small restaurant below in the art museum in the middle of the museum area of the new pinakothek. the opening times are the same as in the museum. You can eat even without entering the museum, a beercrust is available for under 5 euro, a large glass wein for 7 euro. you get great paninis for 5-6 euro and really big portions for 10-20 euro from pasta to seafood. as cash payment is accepted only cash!

We were there for dinner and got a nice place in the open. the service was very polite and well trained. but now to the most important, to eat, my man and I have gone with high expectations and have not been disappointed in a very wise way. Hunsiger's fish soup very easy. the main passages (nailrays and lemongrass spear) were perfect. the wine card convinces as well as the advice by the waiter. all in all a very good eating in pretty ambiente. we will come back!

Before our stay in the Museum, we stopped for coffee and hot chocolate.. And had a wonderful fresh sandwich each. The entrance is just a mirrored door off the cloak area. You might miss it. But inside is a pleasant spacious Dining area. Maybe 20 tables and a nice WC. We felt lucky to get such a nice start on the day..

This is the restaurant in the Neue Pinakothek and they are open from lunch through dinner with an adapting menu. It has been around for a few years now. From the outside, the place is not easy to spot, but it is really worth looking for. I would not call their menu selection mediterranean food , but rather French-Asian fusion with a stress on French and fish seafood, even though they have some meat dishes as well. They serve only fresh-caught fish seafood, no aqua culture. We went there for dinner as a party of 4 and had winter salads with prawns, fish plate, seafood pasta (vongole), chicken curry and some desserts. The food was excellent quality, very well prepared and very well presented, delicious! It came on truly warm plates where appropriate and the waiter service was absolutely perfect. Good choice of wines, wonderful desserts, very good espresso. The owner chef came by and asked whether we were satisfied in a very pleasant but low-key way. It seems to also be a good place for fresh oysters, as s French customer came just for that while we were there. This is not the place to go when you want a fast, cheap meal but it is a very good choice if you are looking for excellent seafood and fish, high quality food and a matching ambiente service. The price is appropriate for what you get and in that sense, I will attest the owner and chef that they deliver great value for money. Highly recommended!
