The restaurant interior is quite pleasant, staff and service were ok, but the food, although not outright bad, was rather bland and nothing at all special. It didn't bode well when none of us could taste any...garlic in the Zatsiki starter. I had a Gyros with squid, and the Gyros from my local takeaway just down the road from Elia beats theirs by a mile in taste. In summary, most dishes were simply boring in taste, not what I expect in a Greek restaurant of that price range of any other Greek restaurant for that matter.

We ordered the souvlaki and bifteki dishes. They were both rather salty overall and my souvlaki had quite tough and greasy...pork meat. I have had better souvlakis before with more tender meat. Don't know if this is the german way because the like salty bratwurst... The nice surroundings compensated a little for the food though.

It's a modern, beautiful restauran... read more Our Air BnB host had recommended this place, and since it was cold, we all love Mediterranean food and it was close, we went. It's a modern, beautiful restaurant, food and wine were delightful. Our waiter however wasn't. He almost threw the food on our...table, seemed upset that we were speaking English among each other- it was no skin off his back, as I ordered for everyone in German! I was about to get up and ask for the manager/owner, when a petite lady came out of the kitchen, threw one look at him, and voila- he was a changed man. She personally came to our table (and everyone else's) to ask about the food and create a friendly atmosphere, like I know it from my many trips to Greece! She made up for his behavior, and I just hope he had a bad day, otherwise he'd be a liability to have at the restaurant.

T... read more A large Greek restaurant in Schwabing. Great outdoor seating, where you really have room and are comfortable. Unfortunately, the waiter quickly overlooks you. The menu is classic, but the quality and taste aren't memorable.
