Description

The Market Street Cafe in Mudgee has been a longstanding favorite, but recent changes have left some disappointed. While the coffee remains a standout, other aspects of the menu have fallen short for some diners. Despite this, there are still positive experiences to be had at this cafe, with standout items like the waffles receiving high praise. Overall, the Market Street Cafe offers a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere with good service, making it a solid option for breakfast or a casual meal in Mudgee.

Probably my favourite brunch joint in Mudgee. The service can be a little slow depending on how busy they are, but there's no reason to be as harsh as some of the other reviews. I had the chilli eggs as pictured, which exceeded my expectations. The portions were quite generous and the food cooked well. This is coming from someone that frequents the Sydney brunch scene. I only wished I had more days to try out the rest of their large menu!

Wonderful Staff They always remember your order and greet you with a smile. The positive energy really makes a difference. The food is both delicious and reasonably priced. The coffee has consistently been great. It’s a reliable choice that locals love.

The best pancakes in town! Spacious dining area perfect for groups of friends. Enjoy outdoor seating in the sunshine. The staff is friendly and professional. The coffee servings are a bit on the small side, but they taste wonderful and are served nice and hot!

Food was really tasty! Especially the ricotta pancakes, which had such a nice balance of flavours with the maple syrup, the vanilla mascarpone and the berry sauce. The corn fritters were a bit dry, but they complemented well with the tomato relish and the creaminess from the poached egg. Other than the food, everything else was just okay. Service was okay, and the hot chocolate and cappuccino were not that great. The food is also a bit overpriced considering the small portion (we, particularly, expected bigger pancakes! . But it’s still a nice cafe to try, and we were happy to be able to sit outside with our dog.

Delicious and decently priced food. Good coffee too! Can get busy during the weekends but waiting time on food is minimal which surprised me as the quality is still there! Good menu too, included the classic breakfast options and extra ones like their brekky Panna cotta. Service was great too, really accomodating staff! Highly recommend!
