Island Vibes Caribbean Food - Mt Vernon

This was our first time here since they renovated the place. It seems like they just added space for 2 more tables. The atmosphere is relaxing as usual. There were 2 major hiccups. They ran out of Fish by 9PM on a Saturday Night!! and I ordered the Rasta Pasta with Shrimp and Chicken. I made it very clear at least I thought it was clear NO MUSHROOMS!! It was served in a Deep Dish. As I proceeded to eat my food, I came across A Lot of Mushrooms. The food was tasty. Needless to say we will NOT be going there anymore, because if I was allergic to Mushrooms, I would be dead!!! Oh yeah, when the bill came, the first thing listed was Rasta Pasta No Mushrooms. What a joke!!

One Day Ago... My First Time Ordering, But The Oxtails were Bland No Seasoning... Mac And Cheese Was Good... But Am Willing to try again.. Maybe Was A Bad Day and I brought a large.. ??‍

You'd never believe a Caribbean food truck could make such DELICIOUS FOODS!! Met my expectations and SOOO MUCH MORE!! The young lady was not only professional, she is a sweet and very friendly person as well.

At the south Fulton location in Mt. Vernon. It's a truck not a store front. Shout out to Ricardo who hooked me up with two orders of j chicken that made the people who I took it to believers in Jamaican food. New customers coming your way. Heard the goay curry is amazing but I haven't tried it yet. J was soft, spiced and flavorful. Not that tired dry, fake, j places are selling. Ricardo needs a bigger place. Hope you enjoy your first visit as much as I just did.

I wish I had a picture to show but I devoured the food. Let me tell you. This is some class A+ soul food served to make you full and wanting more. I’ll definitely be back many more times.
