The food was okay but, regrettably, nothing that knocked my socks off. The cornbread was the standout. Unfortunately, I was expectingstronger flavors, especially from the brisket which WAS very tender. Finding a way to add more smokiness and bold flavor to thefood would make this a destination restaurant when paired with the service.

We had CQ cater our wedding a few years ago and continued to support them once a week during the pandemic. I enjoy trying the new beers on tap each time we visitand most of all I enjoy the same food each time I visit. Pulled pork with old red and sweet potato fries. A month or so ago Itook my sister and told her how good the sweet potato fries are. When I ordered, the waitress told me that they aren?t makingthose anymore. Ugh so disappointed! I realize that sweet potato fries aren?t the most important thing in the world (by far!)BUT when it comes to picking a place to go out to eat and sticking to a budget, I?m going to pick a place that has the foods Ilike. And for me personally those sweet potato fries were the thing no one else out there has. I can make a great pulled porkat home. Otherwise, the staff has always been kind, the restaurant is clean and the pulled pork and sauces are great. RIP mysweet potato fries?..

The meats are consistentl... read more We've been to Carterque at least a dozen times ever since they opened years ago, so it's plenty good enough for several visits a year. The meats are consistently good. This time I got the stuffed grilled cheese and it was a great combination of crisp,grilled bread, gooey mac and cheese and hearty pork. Add a few drops of BBQ sauce and it hit the spot. The one negative thatcompelled me to do a review this time is I think the cole slaw was food service grade, just like you'd get in a plastic tub atthe grocery store. I think the slaw used to be house made and way better. Please return to fresh slaw! 4/5 ain't bad.

She p... read more CarterQue catered and provided bar service for our wedding and they did a phenomenal job. Colleen and her staff made sure that everyone was taken care of. She personally made sure that my husband and I were able to eat (even at cocktail hour) and had adrink in hand amidst everything that was going on. The staff was courteous and professional and above all, the food wasdelicious. You can't go wrong with CarterQue when looking for a wedding caterer!

There 's a couple artisan sauces (raspberry, etc. , but there 's only one that is a relatively normal BBQ sauce, and it 's on the tangy side vs. the sweet backyard BBQ sauce you mightexpect. BBQ is great but it would have been better with the right sauces.
