Doppio Zero - Mountain View
Doppio Zero
Description
Doppio Zero Pizza offers a mixed dining experience that will likely leave diners divided. While the Neapolitan pizzas receive high praise for their flavor and preparation, service inconsistencies mar the overall satisfaction. Guests appreciate the friendly staff but report issues such as long waits for service and poorly timed meal presentations. The restaurant's bustling atmosphere, characterized by close seating and loud acoustics, can detract from the experience, particularly in cooler weather when outdoor seating becomes less desirable. Despite these drawbacks, many patrons find the food, especially the pizza and cocktails, worth the visit, recommending reservations for larger groups.

They have an eclectic menu. Appetizers were tasty especially the potato croquettes. Pasta with wild boar was very good. Pizza was ok. A little bit dry with less topping. Drinks were strong. Service was fast and responsive. The outside seating is nice. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–60 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Everything we tried was fantastic, especially the pizza, which was cooked to perfection in their wood-fired oven. The pastas were also incredibly flavorful and cooked perfectly al dente. This is a very popular restaurant, make sure your make reservations. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We came to Doppio Zero Mountain View for a team dinner and were shocked at how unwelcome we felt from the moment we arrived. The restaurant was completely empty when we walked in, yet the staff repeatedly rushed us to order, claiming they were “fully booked” on a Wednesday night. We had a reservation, but were told our table was only available for 1.5 hours unless we moved outside again, in an empty dining room. Throughout the evening, the pressure to order didn’t stop. It honestly felt like they didn’t want us there at all, but since it was a team event, we stayed. The place eventually got busier, but the service never improved, it stayed frantic, disorganized, and borderline rude. The worst part was the manager. He was clearly having a bad day and took it out on the guests, which made an already disappointing experience genuinely awful. Overall, this was one of the least hospitable restaurant experiences I’ve had in the area. Definitely would not recommend. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50
The place is nice, if you look at the ambience and the vibe. we just walked in on a busy night and were seated really quickly so that was a plus. The croquettes were smaller than the picture led us to believe but tasted really good, the stuffing just oozedout of the cover as you ate it. the cocktails were really good. personally, not a huge fan of the margherita. it was kinda thin, didn't have a lot of cheese, and the sauce was kinda thin/watery, but didn't taste too bad.
5 stars for great Pizzas and other foods but -1) for service. We could not catch the waiters attention easily and even then I think they just kept forgetting what we asked ???? Pizzas are super light and fluffy. Especially the white pizza withmushrooms. The potato croquettes are THE BEST. ???? Sadly I hurt my dignity by taking a bite of the burrata which was so crispythat it exploded in my mouth and fell down???? Desert was nice. That's it????
