A charming little coffee shop in Mt. Vernon, just off Highway 1. The staff were friendly and courteous. The café featured a rustic decor that added to its cozy atmosphere. I ordered a cappuccino, and it was excellent.
This is one of my favorite coffee shops. Each cup of coffee is freshly made using the pour-over method. While you're there, you'll find interesting artwork and unique items to browse and purchase. A friend and I drove two hours to replace my broken FUEL cup, and I ended up getting two new ones on this visit. It's definitely worth the trip!
Fuel is a hidden gem. The desserts are exceptional, always fresh and made in-house. Even the straightforward coffee is delicious. It's a "must-visit" spot in the area.
As a visitor from out of town, I had some questions about the menu since I wasn't familiar with it. While I tried to be polite, it felt like I was bothering the staff. I ordered a black coffee and an Italian soda, but when I went to pay, the staff member didn't inform me of my total or engage with me in any way. The service was very lacking. The black coffee was mediocre and definitely not worth the $3.00, and the Italian soda lacked any real flavor. Overall, my experience was disappointing.
