As a visitor from out of town, I had some questions about the menu since I wasn't familiar with it. While I tried to be polite, it felt like I was bothering the staff. I ordered a black coffee and an Italian soda, but when I went to pay, the staff member didn't inform me of my total or engage with me in any way. The service was very lacking. The black coffee was mediocre and definitely not worth the $3.00, and the Italian soda lacked any real flavor. Overall, my experience was disappointing.
I had a fantastic cookie and refreshing lemonade on a Saturday afternoon! I really appreciated the extended hours, especially since other cafés were closed at that time.
Excellent place to chill alone, with friends, or go on a date, shop, and have a great time. There is a lot of art and handmade items for sale, gluten-free pastry options, good coffee, and yummy lattes.
Multiple time I feel I was treated differently at this coffee shop. The first time I walked around and the lady working there stared at me like a hawk. The second time I just walked in to get something to eat and right when I walked in the lady asked if I knew what I wanted then rolled her eyes. I was still looking at the menu as I just walked in. Maybe it wasn't intentional but when you are a black person in a non diverse town/state, you start to question why you are treated this way.
