What a very pleasant surprise it was to find this beautifully presented and professionally served restaurant. We had a fabulous meal here in the lovely subdued environment. The staff were excellent and the whole experience was one of the best we've had travelling in the outback. It was great value for money and highly recommended for anyone travelling to Mt Isa looking for a good quality restaurant meal.

The food was of... read more We were looking for fine dining and we were very impressed with this restaurant in Mt Isa. The floor staff were very professional and friendly. The food was of the highest standard. The menu was a little limited and my first desert selection was not available. We were not staying at the hotel but booked online after finding limited dining options in the Isa for what we after on this occasion. The entrees were extremely generous. I have not had more tender or tasty kangaroo. Would definitely recommend for a great night out.

Also a balco y, which allowed a few great shots. We had a fab continental breakfast in the morning. The staff were very welcoming and helful with information on the town.

The garlic bread for starters turned out to be Woolworths hamburger ro... read more We booked a business dinner here tonight as our regular choice is undergoing renovations. The garlic bread for starters turned out to be Woolworths hamburger rolls cut up, which were dry and not enjoyable. There were no vegetarian options on the main menu, so I was offered a salad (which I declined as I can make that at home), a stir fry with rice (which seemed odd), or the ravioli from the entree menu. I chose the ravioli and requested a main size portion, but I only received nine pieces of pasta in a disappointing sauce that tasted like a mix of cream and Heinz tomato sauce. My colleague's lamb rack was served with a sickly sweet gravy and deep fried vegetables, including deep fried broccoli. The barramundi was tasty but the portion size was very small. The steaks received positive feedback. There was no drinks service throughout the meal. The creme brûlée was overly "eggy" and probably the worst I've ever had. Overall, two stars might be generous, but the steak eaters seemed content.
