Did not enjoy this hotel at all. The owners did not seem interested at all with our stay. Worst customer service we have ever received. Do yourself a favor. Drive straight though.

I brought my Mother here for lunch after doing some business in Clare. (Need to book for a meal in advance). This Pub has a lot of Country charm, but is also very well decorated and appointed. The food was restaurant quality, I had a massive T Bone & Mum had the Salmon. (She was raving about it on the way home!) After lunch we obtained the key from Kymm & drove out to Mt Bryan East to see Sir Hubert Wilkins Cottage & the Mt Bryan East school - both worth a look, with Dare Hill Summit. On return of the key we stopped for a coffee. Kymm makes a great coffee! Certainly a Pub I would go out of my way to visit.

Having recently read the latest publication covering the life of Sir Hubert Wilkins (Australia's greatest 'unsung hero) a visit to his birthplace was a must. Wilkins was born at Mount Bryan SA late in the eighteen hundreds into a large family all housed in a modest stone cottage which has been faithfully restored.. The 'town' of Mount Bryan is for practical purposes the pub and to our delight offered accommodation and dining. All details were provided on the phone by the delightful Symon, however we had only a 'clue' as to what to expect, Arrangements were made and we arrived mid afternoon in glorious weather and a warm welcome from Symon. We were ushered into the dining room with its open fire burning followed by a guided tour of all this beautiful pub has to offer. A few beers in the 'atmospheric' bar and then a magnificent dinner in the sumptuous dining room was to say the least memorable. Kyme in the mean time was filling in so many details about Sir Hubert we could hardly believe his knowledge. Kyme is a 'local' and is a wealth of information about this beautiful part of South Australia. Comfy beds in cosy bedrooms and a beautiful (cooked) breakfast in the dining room with once again the open fire burning on the sunny but cool morning. Kyme gave us all the information regarding the original cottage together with the key required for entry. The mount Bryan area has much to offer and who better than Kyme to pass on all the details.Back to the pub for a farewell 'drop' with Kyme and Symon then off to the nearby Clare Valley, just a short drive away. We are still talking about the Mount Bryan hotel, it is truly a gem and a visit if you are in the area is a must. This is a beautiful historic hotel in spectacular country and run to perfection by Kyme and Symon, we are counting the days till we return for another visit. Well done!!!

Burleigh Fish Mongers has been serving delicious fish and chips to satisfied customers for as long as I can remember, and they never disappoint!

This is a great place on James Street to grab all your favorite fried seafood and potato dishes.
