Was User at Run Rabbit Run a mag?
Came across this gem by chance and it proved to be a really good choice for breakfast. The building was old and intersting but very comfortable. We had the Brekky Burger which was so delicious - Brioche, bacon, egg, slices of avo and chutney. All of this served with a smile from very friendly staff, whilst we caught up with the latest news in the papers, with a hot pot of tea each. Couldn't have asked for better. View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Run Rabbit Run:
Took 40minutes for 4 coffees, another 15minutes for 3 already baked lemon tarts, and after finishing the warm coffees the b.l.t arrived. Called in for a quick snack and left an hour and half later. So we realised what b.l.t. stood for.... **** long time! Sorry guys, you need to be more organised. View all feedback.
Ok I think I have a new local favourite!! We noticed this joint pop us a few months ago but for some reason hadn't managed to get there yet.
This place is really good. Great ambience and good food. We were visiting from Melbourne and will definite come back if we're ever around Castlemaine.

We had heard wonderful things about 'Run Rabbit Run', so we decided to pay a visit to Castlemaine. We were disappointed that they no longer had rabbit pies on the menu, however there were still plenty of options. The service was very slow. We waited a long time for our food but it was worth the wait! We had a BLAT and the beef stew - delicious! Serving sizes are not generous but it leaves room for dessert. It is very warm and inviting inside, so pay a visit if you are prepared to wait a bit for your meal!
Greeted when we arrived, we were asked to select where we would like to sit followed by menus, water and our coffee orders taken. A small menu but a great variety for lunch, extended with a specials board of approx. 5 more dishes. After placing our order it wasn't long until our meal arrived, well presented, appetising and reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and overall a lovely atmosphere and very cosy on a cold winter's day.
