If you are looking for decent Indian food in this area don’t go anywhere else but here. Taste so clean and fresh and they don’t skimp out on the meat. Meat is always cooked to perfection and taste amazing like a home cooked meal. Very hard to find clean indian food in these areas. View all feedback.
What Jessie M doesn't like about Bombay Grill Mortdale:
The rice had a stale taste, as though it had been frozen. The Mixed Vegetable Curry (Medium) lacked flavor but was spicy, with overcooked vegetables and falling apart potatoes in the sauce. The Garlic Naan bread was broken and had little garlic flavor. We were disappointed as we frequently enjoy homemade Pakistani food, and this fell short of our expectations. View all feedback.
Dropped in for something tasty and quick I was not disappointed The chicken tikka roll is delicious and the rest of the food looks great.
Clean, fast and friendly - with great tasting food Walk past this store and the smell of fantastic indian food will drag you in.
Bombay Grill faces a bit of competition from the other Indian restaurant across the street They are open 7 days and even offer free delivery service.
I have had several bad experiences with Bombay Grill, mainly that I have never received a whole order from them. Not once.Yesterday's experience was the last though. I will never use them again... I called and ordered a delivery at 7:45pm and struggled to get the lady to understand my address or telephone number. It took a long time to order, because of the background noise her-end. She repeated my address/ number back to me though, so I thought that all would be OK. I ordered the $35 Dinner for Two- plus $3 for delivery. I was told that there would be a big delay of up to an hour. This wasn't a problem. At 8 months pregnant though (and hungry from 'saving' myself for a very rare take out) I was really annoyed by the fact that it took nearly 2.5 hours to arrive!!! The delivery chap was unapologetic and scarpered before I could check my order. I was left with no apology and the items that DID arrive were stone cold. I was missing the mint sauce for the poppadum's and also the desert. The curries were as cold as if I'd bought them from Coles' fridge department and less tasty. The chicken curry just tasted like chicken in a can of chopped tomatoes. I couldn't eat it. As I had to reheat everything that did arrive, I still had to wash up too, so the novelty of ordering a take-away had gone completely. I tried many times to call Bombay Grill, however the phones went through to answerphone and nobody has called me back today, hence my review. I will NEVER use them again. The menu is weak. There is very little choice and only one type of rice. The cost is really low, however I would have paid $15 in Coles for a better quality curry, with the same aggravation. $38 is only a bargain, if it all turns up and is ready to eat. I would not recommend this place to anyone. :(
Bombay grill is just a humble little Indian take away but the food is has always been good and tasty. The service is friendly. Quite tasty samosas and curries, both vege and meat based.
