So really not cheap, but a price where you already... read more As house guests we took the opportunity that the host offered a dinner once a week. A 3-course menu for £30. So really not cheap, but a price where you already have some higher expectations. However, even the appetizers only partially triggered our hopes. Both the crab cocktail on salad and the vine breast with salad were okay, but also not anymore! Only the Haggis was really delicious! At the main dish one felt the love of the British for vinegar or for acidic aromas. The steak was well cooked in itself, but with vinegar sauce and the gnocchi with tomato sauce were also very acidic. Here we tap wine instead of vinegar. At both main dishes there were pellet and butter tubes as a supplement! To dessert, I had made the mistake of ordering a crumble, as I remembered the dessert twice in the 7 stills so positively. Unfortunately, he did not stand the comparison. Cream Brulée and whisky ice cream were okay. Unfortunately, however, the white house wine, like anyone else, was not delicious at all. We would have let him stand. So overall rather disappointing. Eating okay, but not reasonable.
