Centrally located in the heart of Speyside in Elgin, the Laichmoray Hotel is a small, family-run establishment with 34 bedrooms, a restaurant, malt whisky lounge, and cocktail bar. We offer a selection of 150 malt whiskies and 40 Scottish gins, and our chefs take pride in using the finest local produce in our traditional menus. We serve breakfast, morning coffee, lunch, high tea, and dinner daily in a warm and relaxed setting. The hotel is conveniently close to Elgin Railway station, making it an ideal base for exploring the North East of Scotland, with whisky distilleries like The Macallan, Glenfiddich, and Glen Moray, golf courses, castles, and beautiful coastline nearby. Inverness Dalcross airport is 35 miles away and Aberdeen Airport is 65 miles away. Our Maisondieu Suite is perfect for weddings and family celebrations with its unique split level and balcony. The food at Laich is always reliable. The Teriyaki Chicken and sticky toffee pudding are delicious! The cocktails are also quite good. I cannot speak to the quality of the rooms as I have never stayed here.
I recently enjoyed drinks and dinner with friends at this restaurant. Both the food and service were top-notch.
Excellent service overall. Made to feel welcome as soon as you enter the building… all the staff are friendly and professional. The food in the hotel is excellent.
Beautiful place would of loved to see it if it was better circumstances, but beautifully presented and very very expensive ,
Attended a birthday dinner. Hotel is tastefully decorated, cosy and inviting. Service was impeccable friendly and welcoming. Great selection of delicious, freshly prepared food, including a good vegan selection. Hard to see how anything could be improved I first stayed here in 1975 and it has always been of a very high standard.
