What User doesn't like about Gordon Arms:
I stopped for lunch at this restaurant during my trip from Edinburgh to London. We received a warm welcome and enjoyed a delicious pizza and some drinks before continuing on our journey. View all feedback.
This was our first time dining here and it definitely won't be our last! The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We both tried the Cullen Skink as a starter (which was superb), and for our main courses, my wife had the traditional steak and ale pie, which was full of succulent meat. I opted for the mixed grill, which was also excellent. The only small criticism I have is that I wasn't asked how I wanted my steak cooked, and I prefer mine medium rare. I did request it to be cooked medium rare to the waitress, but ultimately it is up to the chef to decide. Despite the steak being a bit dry, overall our experience was very good.
