Mozzarella cheese cake was bland. the sirloin and garnel that was very good, but the broccoli was not cooked and had raw tomaten, and the makkaroni and cheese was just penne with thin white sauce and some tasteless cheese and bacon bits. the chocolate melt lava cake was delicious. I put the rest so I could take it home and make it eat.
We went to eat after football practice tonight. It was 9:25 when we walked in. Took 10 minutes for server to bring menus get drink order. 10 minutes to get drinks order. Kept watching server, who was more interested in watching Olympics than serving our food, keeping drinks full. She even had to come back ask what our appetizers were. I understand we came in 30 minutes before closing, but should have cared about customers more. Food was decent, but not what they advertise. Servers didn't smile once.
Applebees is one of the few places that are open late on a week evening for dinner. We had the Oriental Salat with Fried Chicken and the Three Cheese Pasta with Fried Chicken. The chicken was definitely over fried and very hard to chew. My husband had to try to take the bread to chew the chicken because it was such a hard crust. The spinach was good and hot.
I always order my steak medium rare, so when I took my first bite, the red juices pooled on top and beneath the steak, giving it a beautiful purple hue.
