Subway

Not a frequent Subway visitor but I am to the petrol station it is situated in. Have ordered a breakfast sub a few times and have been served by the same member of staff on these occasions. Very friendly and well mannered. Often says hello even if I'm just passing to get fuel.

I've had salad bowls at various Subway locations, but this one was by far the worst. The portion sizes were half of what I’ve received at other places. The server mentioned he could only add 12 pieces of sweet corn—seriously? Just 12? I was also limited to just 4 thin strips of pepper. I had to pay extra for additional chicken since I only got 5 small pieces. It felt like a complete rip-off, and the staff were quite rude.

I visited the Subway sandwich shop at Newcastle Airport and enjoyed a 6-inch sandwich made with honey oat grain bread, filled with turkey slices, lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, and red onion. I opted not to have it toasted, and I didn't add any cheese or sauce. The Subway is located in the same building as a Costa Coffee café, right behind the Shell garage as you enter the airport. The sandwich was of good quality, and the service was quick and efficient. I highly recommend stopping by the Subway shop at Newcastle Airport.

The restaurant was closed, even though it indicated it was open. It seems the staff are not putting in the effort, and they are shutting down earlier than expected.
