I stopped at the Subway sandwich shop at Newcastle Airport where I had a 6 inch sandwich of grain honey oat bread with turkey slices, lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes and red onion. It was not toasted and I did not have cheese or any sauce. There is a Costa Coffee cafe in the same building as the Subway sandwich shop at Newcastle Airport and both are right behind the Shell Garage which is on your left as you enter Newcastle A... What Claire Gibbs doesn't like about Subway:
Ive eaten salad bowls at different subways, this was by far the worst. They are half the portion size of other stores. The server said he was only allowed to put 12 pieces of sweetcorn on it, 12 pieces ?? Really?? Only allowed 4 thin batons of pepper. And had to pay for extra chicken as I only got 5 pieces. Absolute rip off and the staff are rude. View all feedback.
Not a frequent Subway visitor but I am to the petrol station it is situated in. Have ordered a breakfast sub a few times and have been served by the same member of staff on these occasions. Very friendly and well mannered. Often says hello even if I'm just passing to get fuel.
I've had salad bowls at various Subway locations, but this one was by far the worst. The portion sizes were half of what I’ve received at other places. The server mentioned he could only add 12 pieces of sweet corn—seriously? Just 12? I was also limited to just 4 thin strips of pepper. I had to pay extra for additional chicken since I only got 5 small pieces. It felt like a complete rip-off, and the staff were quite rude.
I visited the Subway sandwich shop at Newcastle Airport and enjoyed a 6-inch sandwich made with honey oat grain bread, filled with turkey slices, lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, and red onion. I opted not to have it toasted, and I didn't add any cheese or sauce. The Subway is located in the same building as a Costa Coffee café, right behind the Shell garage as you enter the airport. The sandwich was of good quality, and the service was quick and efficient. I highly recommend stopping by the Subway shop at Newcastle Airport.
The restaurant was closed, even though it indicated it was open. It seems the staff are not putting in the effort, and they are shutting down earlier than expected.
Open at 11. Too late for breakfast.
