It's the most authentic Mexican cuisine, paired with wonderful people who are dedicated to their community. What more can I say? The People's Choice Award definitely goes to... Arlene's Beans!

We frequently visit Santa Fe, and the beans at Arlene's are comparable to many spots there. The red sauce is flavorful and has a nice kick, while the green sauce boasts some of the finest large-batch green chili around. Although the line was long, the process moved quickly, and our food was ready in just five minutes.

They introduced us to most of the staff and guided us through the menu, highlighting their house specialties. The red and green chili dishes are truly the stars of the show. We thoroughly enjoyed our New Mexican-style enchiladas, served "Christmas style." The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, reflecting the family recipes and the family-oriented business. We can’t wait to return; there’s so much to love about this charming little place right on the outskirts of the city. P.S. The surrounding area is perfect for a nice walk!

Don’t forget about the tasty Queso Blanco and Chips, as well as the breakfast options! Arlene loves to get creative with her menu, featuring special items like Pozole, Chicken Wings, and our absolute favorite, Irish Nachos! In addition to their passion for crafting homemade dishes, Arlene and Bobby are committed to their community. They host numerous fundraisers for local schools, the police department, scholarship initiatives, the Rotary Club, and our very own Tri Lakes Cares. They also make a point to reach out and assist families in need. With amazing food, a genuine spirit of generosity, and a sense of community, it’s hard to ask for more from a small business that started in someone’s home years ago!
