We stopped at L'Antigel for lunch on Sunday, about as far removed from a traditional English Sunday lunch, although two of my friends enjoyed their leg of lamb. I opted for a Tartiflette, I have to have one on a ski holiday, it was superb. We enjoyed a good value Cote De Rhone with our meals and whilst not the cheapest option in the village, the quality and value were outstanding. Very pleasant and helpful waitress who administered some complimentary Genepis before we left. We ate inside, as is our habit although there is a huge sundeck with magnificent views and a large snack area. Well worth a visit.
Had lunch on the mountain reservation an absolute necessity during busier holiday weeks. Friendly service despite being crazy busy, but clearly they were struggling to keep up and got our order wrong (twice). Burgers and fries were great, but the steak was mostly gristle. Great sound system and a bit of a folly Douce style party on Thursday afternoons hosted by a DJ.
You have the option of inside outside and a snack bar so something for everyone. Its bigger than it looks from the slopes and has plenty of enthusiastic staff to ensure efficient service and just a short ski into town. The salads are highly recommended.
Great spot for a bit of people watching and sunbathing. Worth a visit for a beer or hot chocolate and the DJ set was good too.
