Pacific Bowls Rolls - Monterey

I wanted to try something new since my favorite sushi place closed, and I was not disappointed. This restaurant is definitely a must-try. The presentation was great, it smelled delicious, and most importantly, it tasted amazing. I finished the entire baked salmon roll special and enjoyed every bite. My cousin had the poke bowl and said she prefers this place over other poke restaurants. If you're on the fence about trying this place, just go for it - you might be pleasantly surprised.

I am only giving this restaurant more than 1 star because I understand the impact of negative reviews on business owners. Being a business owner myself, I try to avoid hiring employees like the ones I encountered at this restaurant. When I walked in, there was no one at the front and the employee who peeked through the back door did not acknowledge me before disappearing into the back room. I waited for a while before deciding to leave, feeling completely ignored. This kind of behavior shows a lack of respect for the business and its customers, even as the employees may complain about their pay. The service was terrible, although I must admit that the food was good. I hope the owner can find better staff in the future, as the current ones have been consistently underwhelming.

I paid $12 for a bowl with 1 protein at this restaurant. Even though you can add as many other toppings as you'd like, the portion size was still generous. The mushroom protein option was delicious.

Thursday is sushi rolls special! You get three small rolls for $10! I picked up the avocado, salmon and spicy tuna and they were all so tasty! I highly recommend! The seating is bench style so just be aware of that.

Pretty cool that you can make your own sushi rolls. I wish they'd get vegan fake chicken or some sort of pea protein. They had a good selection of toppings, sauces, and fillings. The staff were super helpful and nice. Recommend for a quick lunch.
