So today I decided to take a ride with my friend Dani, we decided to go south-west. We're hungry when we reached this town called Monte Vista, Colorado. We decided to stop at Quincy's Steak Spirits. We have the Wednesday special. That was also the only thing they had on the menu for the day. Small, cozey, great staff, our server was welcoming and helpful! When it came to dinner, the fillet mignon was on point, hot, j... View all feedback.
What Charles B doesn't like about Quincys Steak Spirits:
Was told 30 min wait this was one of our favorites. Then to look at the bar several times to see waitresses and manager just stare at us couldn’t take our drinks for another 20 mins. Expecting there customers to leave because they want go home. They should close at 6pm after that service food atmosphere all bad. Maybe they will make better changes but for the price I would go down the road and spend good money elsewh... View all feedback.
I was just passing through from Alabama and I'm so glad we chose to stop here for a meal! The food was absolutely delicious and the prices are hard to believe! Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The decor was lovely, and I really appreciated the overall aesthetics of the place.
I have had the pleasure of eating at the Monte Vista location numerous times during the past 2 years. I have bragged on them and numerous times brought other customers to eat there. Last night was an exception to the past. Apparently, (per the waitress this location has just changed hands and it shows rather badly. I ordered the 8oz prime rib as I have in the past (I like mine med rare and it came split in two pieces and cooked or I should say overcooked. Why it was split is a mystery to me because I have never had a prime rib split in half and cooked. Apparently management thinks this is the best(fastest? way to cook. Wrong! I complained to the waitress(she didn't cook the meal and she told me I was the second to complain about overcooked prime rib. I was sent a replacement slab of rib that was cooked better and it was delivered in a to go container. Quincy's has lost this customer. I was very disappointed last night in the attitude of management and the cavalier way my complaint was handled.
They serve the best Prime Rib I've ever had. On weekends, it's all about the Prime Rib, while during the week, they offer Filet. The place is decorated like a classic old-time bar. Food: 5/5
Yeah no. the manager was attitude filled when we confronted them about 4 out of 6 of our steaks being undercooked. **** and completely red. this thing was still mooin. I ordered medium and got RAW (pictured). no consistency and the only thing you can order is filet mingon from sunday through thursday and prime rib on friday and sat. If you’re going to make your menu one thing then at least get it right. we also were accused of walking out without paying when there was money sitting on the table.
Great little restaurant! Keep in mind that they only serve ribeye on weekends and filet mignon during the week, so if you're a fan of those cuts, you're in luck. I'm not usually a ribeye fan because of the fat content, but they trimmed it for us, and it turned out really delicious. It’s a charming spot, and considering the small town, they were surprisingly busy. Food: 5/5
