Feedback
Brick and Dough offers a diverse pizza menu highlighted by intriguing flavors and high-quality ingredients, yet opinions on its overall value and service are mixed. While some patrons rave about dishes like the Mexican Streetza and the exceptional gluten-free options, others express disappointment, citing subpar gluten-free crusts and mediocre appetizers. The ambiance leans towards a dark, industrial minimalist style, creating a unique dining environment. Despite the mixed reviews, attentive service and accommodating staff stand out, establishing Brick and Dough as a suitable choice for both casual outings and special occasions in Montclair.
I ordered a New York-style pizza topped with pepperoni and mushrooms. The mushrooms were incredibly fresh and the pepperoni was perfectly crispy. The dough was exceptional, and I could easily eat 25 pizzas all by myself.
Love the food… hate the playlist. They need to change the tunes and lower them just a bit.
Brick Dough has some of the best pizza you will find anywhere including NYC and Italy, no joke). We had the classic Margherita and the Foraged Fest. Both were on point. The Margherita had a great tomato sauce and high quality mozzarella cheese. And that crust, so soft and billowy. The Foraged Fest was the shroom pizza of the year. It made me want to listen to my favorite jam band Goose. All jokes aside this is the best pizza I’ve ever had. It had Maitake and Cremini mushrooms. Plus some fresh ricotta and mozzarella. A hint of lemon zest tied it all together. And again the crust was so damn good. Brick Dough is a great spot. Fun and friendly service. And because of NJ’s wacky, arcane liquor laws it’s BYOB. Forza Brick Dough.
I was so excited to try this place but sadly it was a letdown. I will say that the cheesy bread was amazing but that's about where it stopped. The lady at the front was not very welcoming. We came on sandwiches Thursdays because they always featureamazing sandwiches. We arrived expecting something exciting, but that was not the case. A bland piece of chicken between asmashed potato bread, an absorbent amount of mayo, and what tasted like jar pickles. All for the grand price of $15 plus tax. Itwas so much mayo that it left a unpalatable taste in your mouth. I took one bite and the rest went in the trash. Maybe I wouldgive them another chance, based of the pictures of the other sandwiches, but possibly not anytime right away. Also, I was reallytaken aback about how the garlic knots were just sitting out with the case open even thought it could have been closed toprevent flies and other elements from landing on the food.
