Wings were brilliant, Pommes were sensational. Loved the place, great mood and cool surroundings. Would definitely come back, but because they smoke, it just bothered me too much, so take out would always be an option. Large owner View all feedback.

Pricey dive bar with NO ATMOSPHERE . I never knew a good person or bartender named DANA and . I still don't after tonight. Heard some fair reviews of this plans but they weren't here for this experience. According to others must be soooo much better every other day?? Better atmosphere elsewhere I guarantee! Oh my goodness!!! James Street Tavern has the most phenomenal Hot Sausage sandwich [w/ tater tots] I have ever had. Their bread is so soft with a crunch crust. The sauce does not sog the bread. The Sausage is a bit spicy with a kick but not over-powering. Their tater tots are crunchy and explosive when you bite into them. It's clear they change out their oils and season to perfection. The clientele is a mixed crowd. Older generation before 8pm on Friday Saturday. Younger crowds after 9pm. Very friendly people to be sociol with. Friendly bar staff and fair prices.
Visiting Pittsburgh for a night and this place was semi-close to the hotel. Dive bar atmosphere (love that) and the Thai chili wings were great. The 5 stars come from the people. Never been here before but the staff and regulars were super friendly and welcoming like I'd been coming for years. Great experience!
Surprisingly excellent food for a local bar, at least we've tried wings and pizza and both was delicious. Very fast friendly service! About CONS it's a smoking bar and that might bother non smoker
