What kim a doesn't like about Basil Of Monroe:
Dishes were flavorful. Had the shrimp and fried rice along with crab rangoons. The crab rangoons were disappointing as there was very little cream cheese. Casual atmosphere. A few weeks later placed an order to go. Soy sauce packets are only included with sushi orders. With rice entrees you are charged extra for soy sauce and yum yum sauce. Very disappointing. As for vegetarian options, they offer a variety of vegetable and seafood choices. The restaurant is also kid-friendly, with spacious seating arrangements that cater to families and all types of customers. We were lucky to find a parking spot close to the entrance, and there was plenty of parking available.
The older Asian lady who sometimes answers the phone lacks patience and can be quite rude. When I inquired about a specific dish, she snapped back with, “You don’t know, you don’t order!!” This experience makes me hesitant to visit again, even though we’ve been loyal customers since they were Rawz on Sterlington Road. I just wish the service were more friendly.

I can't speak to the food. I waited for about 30 minutes, and was passed up three or more times by the servers for a table. The people waiting with us also were passed up, and had to chase down a server to get a seat. I'll do another review once I actually get a seat, if it's possible... It seems good, and the place is very nice on the inside. I also tried to place a to-go order before I got there and was left on hold until it hung up on me twice
Excellent Thai cuisine! The pho was incredibly flavorful. I sampled several different dishes and had enough leftovers for two additional meals. The portions are generous and fantastic! This will definitely be one of my go-to places whenever I'm in the area.
