The menu was limited as they were from the product beca... read more We came to find that it was the last day Saisho would be open. We didn't know the restaurant was closed. The menu was limited as they were from the product because they did not reorder, so we were told by several courts that they did not do; Unfortunately, most of them were their signature dishes. Although it was their last night, the staff were still very friendly and attentive, and our meals were prepared for perfection. We're sad to see the restaurant. Saisho will be very missed in downtown.

All the courses were delicious and expertly prepared. My wife enjoyed the fish and I had the duck. We will definitely be coming back. The only downside was that they were out of one of their specialty beers and ingredients for a signature cocktail.

I... read more We visited on a weekend, early night. I had their version of beef gyudon. Positives: the staff were welcoming and ensured our beverages were filled as needed. It was a quiet atmosphere. The chef did an amazing job with my beef, it was tender and tasted fabulous. Room for improvement: the interior was hot and humid (old building, extended ceiling, open kitchen), not sure if the A/C was broken or just ineffective it made for an uncomfortable and sticky environment. While I enjoyed the steak in my beef gyudon, unfortunately the high sodium level of our meals negatively impacted the overall food experience. This was a first time visit and we were excited about the menu, but we probably won't be coming back here again. I would recommend for those who are adventurous and are wanting to try something different.
