I waited an eternity for two milkshakes, and they weren't even blended properly. Mine didn't have any Oreos in it, and it was so thick that I couldn't get it through the straw at all. What a huge waste of money! I should have just gone to Chick-fil-A—it's cheaper and their milkshakes are actually drinkable.
I gave this place 2 stars, but only because the guy who was working there was really sweet. Unfortunately, it seems that the management is lacking. With only five customers in the restaurant, I waited over 10 minutes for a burger, tots, and a corn dog. When the food finally arrived, the tater tots and corn dog were burnt, so I sent them back. Now it's been almost 20 minutes waiting for what should be fast food. I used to work at this location a long time ago, and honestly, the cooking technology and menu haven't changed much since then. There was no excuse for such a long wait. The gentleman who brought me my food was named Clint, and I genuinely hope that whoever at Sonic reads this gives him a raise and finds him a new manager. The volume of customers in the parking lot clearly indicates that the slow service is due to poor management.
I've been to this restaurant a few times, specifically craving onion rings, and each time they have been out of stock. It's strange to think that I would need to call ahead to a fast-food place to check if they have a menu item. That was my only complaint; otherwise, the staff seemed friendly.
Sometimes, one visit is all it takes. This was my first and last time at this Sonic. We stopped to order hot fudge sundaes with extra peanuts. When we reached the window, the employee basically tossed the sundaes at us and quickly closed the window. When we asked about the peanuts, she said they didn’t have any. She should have told us that before we paid. I didn’t get what I paid for, my mom was really upset, so I got upset too. We just left and I won’t be coming back.
The staff member asked for my order three times in a row and still got it wrong. I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to remember no ketchup or mayo. My fries were cold and unappetizing. I drove around to have them remade, but once again I had to repeat my order three times, and the fries were still cold and unpleasant. The only thing I ate was the burger, and that was only because I was hungry after work. This used to be the best Sonic location in Mobile, but sadly, it’s gone downhill. The kitchen seemed chaotic, with kids playing around, throwing paper balls, and not focusing on the food. I won’t be coming back—unless it’s just for ice cream, if they can get that right.
