However, the boom boom sauce could use some improvement, as it was a bit lacking in flavor. I highly recommend trying the steam platters and the Royal Reds. I would definitely consider ordering from here again. Food rating: 4/5.

It’s a fun experience to browse their selection and pick out your fish and shellfish before it’s cooked. While my meal ended up costing more than I anticipated, it’s seafood, so that wasn’t too surprising. They have a wide range of add-ons, making this a fantastic place to get your next seafood meal!

The crawfish was pretty fresh and crispy. I wish they were cleaned a little better, though. Establishment was clean including the restrooms. Staff was really nice but they got distracted from conversation amongst themselves quite frequently to the point where there was some neglecting the customers, including me. Paying additional money because of using a card is a little strange in 2022.

The atmosphere in the restaurant was delightful too. We arrived around 30 minutes before closing, but we never felt rushed. I even had an extended conversation with the owner about Mobile since I just moved here. I highly recommend Mud Bugs on the Loop!

The atmosphere at the restaurant was amazing as well. We arrived around 30 minutes before closing, but we never felt rushed. I ended up having a lengthy conversation with the owner about Mobile since I recently moved here. I highly recommend Mud Bugs at the Loop!
