Description

Nestled in downtown Mobile and attached to a hotel, this lively bar-café is known for oversized pizzas, gooey nachos, award-worthy Mobile Mushroom pie, and comfort bites like gumbo and buffalo chicken dip. Service is friendly and often accommodating when busy; prices are reasonable and portions generous. Some dishes (notably a Thai BBQ wing) and occasional slow ticketing can disappoint, and restrooms are across the hotel, but overall it’s a dependable, casual spot for tourists, convention-goers and locals.

We visited this restaurant twice to get a better sense of the atmosphere. On our first visit, the bartender was rude, possibly just having a case of the Mondays. However, our experience on Tuesday night was much better, with a pleasant vibe.

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, and the waitstaff provided excellent service to every table. We ordered chicken wings, nachos, chicken salad wraps, and pizza, all of which arrived promptly and fresh. We want to express our gratitude to the staff for their attentive service, tasty food, and the clean atmosphere. One thing to note is that the restrooms were a short two to three-minute walk from our table, located on the hotel side since the restaurant is connected to the hotel. Overall, everything was great!

I sat on this for a couple days So my review is (mostly) based on my specific order Thai BBQ Chicken Wings (1 star for the wings). I sat on this because I wanted to be clear on eveything. The backstory Sat at the bar and ordered my wings to go. About 40 mins passed by when the bartender came up to me and apologized. My ticket somehow disappeared. She said they were now making my order as she was speaking to me. They were somewhat busy. This is on Sunday eveningthe day of the hurricane. They might have been understaffed? Maybe bigger crowd as not much else in the area seemed to be open? I was sitting there with no drink order. So she probably forget I was there? While waiting, two others asked ifI had been waited on. I said yes. And continied to wait. So back to her apology she made me a free drink as an olive branch. That about solves most everything. Mistakes happen. My dirty martini was fine. So in summary mistakes happen, and they made up for it. Hence the additional star from my one star review But the Thai BBQ wings. My actual review... Nothing Thai and nothing BBQ about them. The menu says dry rub and smoked (see attached photo). Neither a dry rub wasused nor a smokiness detected. Wet sauce definitely used. What flavor... I do not know?? They were not undercooked, but far from being crispy. Very boring. Almost flavorless. The blue cheese dressing was good and plentiful. Go with thepizza I guess. I read it's good??

We waltz in out of the rain. Having gone to the Battleship tourist attraction and caught in the rain, we were surprised that the park had no food. A local Google search directed me to a place nearby that was closed and boarded up. This place was open, so wewandered in. It was around 2:30 in the afternoon in downtown mobile. The bartender was the only person working the whole place, and it was a little bit busy. She was incredibly nice and gave us menus. The tables are small, and the pizza was big. We satdown and ordered lunch. Paris had the nachos, I had a chicken salad sandwich, Kai had a pizza, and Mike had a pita sandwich. There were two key highlights although everything we ate was good. Let?s talk about the nachos first. They are piled high, andthe plate was HUUGE. I am one of those who likes the melted cheese that is so hot that it makes some of the chips gooey. That iswhat was delivered! These nachos were very very good. Next up the pizza. My son ordered their large with pepperoni andmeatballs. It was so big we moved him to his own table. He thought it was so good that he finished the whole thing off in onesitting. He is a 18yr old 6?3? hungry giant, so whaddaya expect?!? However, I will state that this guy is a pizza guru. He hashad pizza in over 10 states and at over 100 different pizza restaurants. So, when he says it?s good, it probably is. ???? Thefood, service, and ambiance was excellent for a in hotel dining bar. It was inexpensive, totaling $65 for four people (beforetip). We would 100% eat here again. Thank you for letting the strays come in to eat! ????

Worst nasty nachos I have ever had. Cold cheese whiz type goo heaped on soggy chips worse than stadium fare. $5 extra for smoked brisket-well I found maybe a tablespoon of morsel drenched in cold processed liquid cheese like product. Unfriendlyserver forgot to place our order and had to come back and ask what we ordered . Wish we had just left.
