I was visiting Ireland and staying in Moate whilst recerching my ancestry. I came across P Eagans bar whilst out with my dog. Paul and his staff welcomed me with such warmth and dedication. I have no reservations on recommendations for this wonderful traditional Irish pub. Thankyou Paul staff for making my stay and very rememberable. Paul Annie.

I dropped my husband off for a pint after a football match while I just had a quick water and chatted with a few acquaintances there. The atmosphere was lively, even after the team lost the game. The pub was packed, but the barmaid was fantastic—she really knew how to handle the crowd. No one was left waiting for a drink. The owner was walking around, engaging with everyone and collecting glasses. It's a wonderful pub that combines an old-fashioned feel with up-to-date service. Give it a try; you’ll definitely leave with a positive experience and a desire to return when you’re next in town. Kudos to the owner for employing such a great team and providing excellent job opportunities for local young people. A special shout-out to the barmaid—having a good boss contributes to a happy workplace. Pricing is very reasonable, around €1-10 per person. Service and atmosphere both get a solid 5 out of 5!
