I enjoyed the Pollock appeti... read more We just enjoyed a wonderful meal at Claffey's Restaurant and Steakhouse in Moate. The steak was some of the best I have ever eaten. I enjoyed the Pollock appetizer and it was light, flakey and flavorful. We also shared the mushroom appetizer which was wonderful....The steaks were absolutely perfect served with a peppercorn sauce that was delicious. If you find yourself in the area, don't miss the opportunity to sample this delicious fare.

Nothing too much trouble for the waitresses one of whom went...off to find me a dry white wine and came back with a great one. Decor a bit downbeat but really a great place for a large gathering with good quality food.

The service was friendly and relaxed, a real homely feel, made all the better by Caroline uor...waitress, who not only provided great service, but a mine of local information, including finding out mass times for my father. A lovely smile and prompt service can't fault her. worth a visit
