Ok about sums it up. We thought this was the Grace?s Garden new location since a Sakura chain restaurant took over the original Grace?s Garden location. It is not the same restaurant in a new location. For what you get at this restaurant , the Hibachioption is definitely overpriced. For 90 tip) we had 2 hibachi meals 1 steak, 1 shrimp) with the fried rice contained asmall amount of frozen peas carrots) grilled veg mostly onion red peppers, some zucchini even less mushroom) small bowl ofonion broth soup and small iceberg lettuce ?salad?, 1 happy hour priced cocktail 2 off),1 soda 1 shared dessert dry crumblycheesecake). No real seasoning that we could taste on any of the entree, despite seeing the ?chef? sprinkle S P on the foodwhile cooking. Very workmanlike hibachi experience after he ascertained we had no allergies then the ?chef? got to work, noflourishes or verbal interaction with us other than the allergy question and asking about beef doneness. Most boring hibachiexperience we?ve ever had. That and overpriced food makes it unlikely we?ll return.

We visited the city and decided to try Grace. The food was delicious, but that was where the positives ended. The restaurant feels outdated and had a lack of atmosphere; it was almost empty on a Saturday night, which is a red flag. The prices were steep, but the most shocking part was the unexpected 18% gratuity added to the bill. While we typically tip around 20% for good service, the issue was that this gratuity appeared without any warning. When we pointed it out, the staff claimed there was a note on the menu, but the menu was so small that we missed it entirely. I actually had to use my phone to magnify the menu just to read it. This is the only restaurant I've encountered that automatically charges an 18% tip for a party of two, which I found very insulting. To make matters worse, when we raised our concerns with a staff member, she was quite rude. Her response seemed to suggest that we were somehow taking money from her, as if the owner’s rules were more important than customer experience. It’s clear that this restaurant does not value its customers. I recommend going somewhere else where you can receive good service and respect.

The service was subpar- waitress was very inattentive. We ordered General Tao?s chicken took 2 bites, the egg rolls were large but overcooked if that?s possible. The vegetable lo mein was completely over cooked. The shrimp fried rice mushy. This isn?t the Grace?s I frequently visited years ago that I loved.

We have very few dining options in our area. Grace's used to be a reliable option. However, as soon as we walked in i was reminded of why i stopped going to Grace's. The place was beyond loud. Folks were at the bar literally screaming at each other.I'm all for folks having fun but a number of the guests had no respect for others that were dining. We placed a drink order andthen placed our food order to go because we could not hear or talk over the noise. The place has really gone done from the timeit was opened. It needs a face-lift, a good cleaning and maybe new managment that is not afraid to ask out of control guests totone it down.

We were visiting from out of town and decided to try Grace?s. Food was tasty. But that?s where it ends. The restaurant is dated and drab looking/feeling. On a Saturday evening, it was nearly empty. That?s a red flag. It is overpriced. But what wasegregious was the 18% gratuity SURPRISE added to the bill. The 18% itself wasn?t the issue..because we normally add 20% ..for agood experience. . It was the fact that it appeared out of nowhere...and applied to your bill whether or not you got goodservice. When we pointed this out, the staff said there is a note about this on the menu. But the menu?s font is TINY, and wedidn?t see this. I had to actually use my phone?s magnifier to read the menu. This is the only restaurant I?ve seen that chargesan 18% tip for a party of two. It is insulting!!! When we raised the issue with a staff member, she was RUDE! Her reactionwas?.?they?re acting as if I?m taking their money??.and??the owner makes the rules?. It is obvious this restaurant does notvalue its customers. Go elsewhere for good service and respect.
