We went out of our way and comfort zone to experience something difference and Sugar's didn't disappoint. We are looking for a cozy spot with live music, good food and great drinks. Sugar's delivered just that! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sugar's Cajun Cuisine:
Everything was good except they where out of everything that we tried to order. The magarita machines were not working, they did not have certain items on the menu which limited us either order something we did not want. However, our waiter was well mannered and quite helpful the was good very nice and clean but i would eat or drink before i come to socialize because they may not have anything. View all feedback.
Eating and the music really enjoyed it. we like to dance and I suggest a dance floor bw the stage would be really nice.
The food was not very good (we ordered sides only) but the management was responsive and we didn't have to pay for what we sent back. The cover charge wasn't bad for a live band at $20 per premium seat. However the band was not used to playing together and that was obvious. We left halfway through the set; their break was 30 minutes!!! $20 per premium seat is too much to pay for a band that doesn't have their sound tight; they were not organized musically.
My husband and I found Sugar’s for a date night. We drove one hour to get to this place which was not a problem since we enjoy going out. The atmosphere and ambiance was smooth, romantic, and welcoming. Our server, Shay was attentive to our needs and the band starring James Dean was phenomenal. But the food was terrible. We ordered crab cakes which tasted like salmon crochet. We enjoy salmon, but don’t pass off salmon for crab. The two taste nothing alike. We both ordered gumbo. The gumbo roux was scorched and the crackers served with the gumbo were stale. And to top it all off the bread pudding was dry and hard. We are considering trying Sugar’s one more time in the distant future, just to see if the chef improves on his/her skills.
The macaroni and cheese with crawfish was excellent. The jazz group was very entertaining and the service was great. It seems that the Riesling and Moscato are very popular wines and I was disappointed that I missed out.
Has really enjoyed the music. the entertainer was amazing.
