What Yun Ta Lee doesn't like about Zhèng Gǎng Tái Wān Xiǎo Chī The Chase Convenience Store:
The food was terrible. I wanted support this mom and pop Taiwanese restaurant, but the take out food was just absolutely terrible. The broccoli was hard boil or microwaved from frozen package, totally tasteless. The braised chicken drum stick was stale, likely days old. Update June 2021: I returned for more tasty eats at this lovely Taiwanese comfort food spot owned by a friendly husband and wife. My wife has been coming here for over 25 years, and it holds sentimental value for her. I've been a customer for about 20 years myself. Very nice owner. They sell amazing handmade black saseme mochi. And variety of vegetarian mock meat directly imported from Taiwan. Bubble tea is amazing too
They never stay open until 6pm. If you choose to close early maybe change your hours. I’ve come three days in a row at 5:30pm and you are never open.
Not authentic at all. Not sure where the owner got his confidence. Worst Taiwanese food ever.
