Jose Pepper's - Mission

We came for dinner last night. I always get Tacos al Carbon. But the changed the menu. Our waitress pointed out another steak taco.said it was the same as Taco al Carbon. It was not even close. It was nasty.Please bring back Tacos al Carbon.

I like all the Jose peppers but this is my favorite based on service and more spacious seating than most. Good chips and salsa. Monterey burrito and chicken fajitas really good. Will sub black beans for refried if you ask. Good size portions and reasonable prices.

The shrimp was burnt. The service was slow. It took 45 minutes to get my bill.

For the price point and for what it is…. It’s amazing!!!! And I mean this in the best way. It’s not bougie Mexican food but straight forward, fresh ingredients and a warm environment.

We like Jose Peppers and Cactus Grill and have been to several locations. We wanted some Mexican food and had never been to the Mission location. Our servuce was great. Our food was great. We really liked the layout of this store and may make it our favorite. Its a big place and was very busy but we had no complaints.
