Sidewalk Kitchen
Menu
The restaurant from Minneapolis offers 56 different courses and drinks on the menu at an average price of $12.4.
Nestled near the University of Minnesota, this Cantonese restaurant boasts a diverse menu that has garnered mixed reviews. Patrons have praised its authentic dishes, particularly the sizzling tofu and salt and pepper beef short ribs hot pot, celebrating the freshness and quality of ingredients. However, service inconsistencies mar the experience, with language barriers and order mix-ups leading to frustration. While the pricing is deemed reasonable, some have noted recent increases. Despite challenges, many diners appreciate the warm atmosphere and generous portions, making it a spot worth trying, especially for fans of Hong Kong-style cuisine.

Food was spectacular and price is not too bad at all. I ordered some dishes most were cooked to perfection! The sizzling intestine was probably the best version of its kind. I wouldn't go for spicy stew because it's not cantonese original. If you stick with the Cantonese courts, you will love each one of them. View all feedback.
What Martin Kuo (MK) dislikes about Sidewalk Kitchen:
Note to self...probably avoid the watercress with pork soup next time. I know it's hard to wash watercress thoroughly...but my soup and container was full of bug husks, legs and bodies. :(Otherwise, can't go wrong with Walnut Shrimp, Tofu with Fish Fillet pot, and Beef Chow Fun. : View all feedback.
Amazing dishes. Though it took a bit longer for the food to come out. But it is worth the wait! Will definitely visit again
Great food and pleasant service. I got white sauce fried noodles with seafood and it was excellent! The noodles were very crunchy and contrasted nicely with the soft seafood and vegetables. The white sauce was light and enhanced the flavor of the seafood without overwhelming it.
The food I tried was great. I really love their szechuan spicy chicken it's my favorite on the menu so far and one of my favorite foods now.
Wow this place was so good! Every dish we had was just super delicious. And the service was super friendly! We had the sizzling diced beef, sizzling pork fried noodles, general tso's chicken, and chicken wings. Sizzling diced beef- beef steak cubes mixed with peppers and onions. Taste on the sweeter side, almost like a sweet ketchuppy taste, if that makes sense. Sizzling pork fried noodles- this dish was real good. Thin fried cantonese noodles mixed with pork, onions, and bean sprouts, garnished with sesame seeds. Meaty pork taste, and the noodles have a crunch at the end...so good General Tso's chicken- wow this was our favorite dish of the night. This is not your typical General tso's you find at your typical chinese joint. It taste so much better! It has a savory, tarty soy taste which was soooo good. Best general tso's we have ever had. Good service with great food! We can't wait to come back here and try other dishes! 5/5
