Our Kitchen - Minneapolis
Our Kitchen
Description
Our Kitchen is a small breakfast spot with a quaint exterior, but the service can be slow due to a lack of staff. The pancakes were disappointing, and the atmosphere was noisy with people talking on their phones. One reviewer had a negative experience with the owner, who was aggressive. On the other hand, some patrons absolutely loved the food, service, and atmosphere, praising the large portions, cooked-to-order meals, and friendly staff. The diner has been around for 80 years and is considered a staple by many locals. Despite the small size and limited seating, customers found the food to be delicious and worth the wait. Overall, opinions were divided, with some recommending the restaurant while others advised skipping it in favor of other breakfast spots nearby.

I'd heard of Our Kitchen but never eaten there before. It was incredible. The breakfast is like nothing I've ever eaten before. And the portions are hearty. It's my. new favorite
Crowded as usual, had to wait, finally seated at counter. The food for breakfast was average. Watching the grill cook was disgusting, the towel he used wipe down counters, grill utensils and the cutting board. Also he vapped while he cook.
The pancakes are ‘the BOMB’! The hash browns are great, especially with add-ins. We are new to the area and let Google guide our steps. So glad we tried it out. We also met a native Belize and had great conversation. Dog friendly.
The pancakes and eggs were great. Some of the best pancakes I've had in a while. So filling I had 2 eggs and a pancake. Server was really friendly. This is not a place if you come with maybe more than 4 or 6 people. They have some seating outside. It's mainly a small diner with front seating and some seating indoors and some patio seating. I don't remember how much the patio seating holds. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
You'll find a fantastic breakfast at Our Kitchen in South Minneapolis. A family-owned and award-winning hole-in-the-wall diner since 1941. The portions are large to fuel your morning and prices are competitive. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. I had an omelet with hash browns and one of co-owner/chef Danny's giant pancakes. The best part of my visit was being able to sit at the counter and watch Danny cook. It's a hole in the wall so expect a short wait. You're going to have a very good meal. I sure did.
