I get it. It 's not the old Nye 's. Nothing ever will be. I am nostalgic and sad to not be able to see that again. That said, this is today 's Nye 's. No longer a restaurant, but simply a piano bar. It doesn 't appear to be built to duplicate the original, but to pay homage, and to give future generations the opportunity to create their own memories. What Maryjane Hintz doesn't like about Nye's Polonaise Room:
Was a newly rebuilt bar, that has some history to it. Had a fairly large group with me, when we moved two tables together we got an attitude from the bartender, big time. When confronted about it she claimed it wasn't her issue but her bosses about us moving the tables. Needless to say we finished our drinks, moved the tables back and left to go next door. The piano bar area is well done, the sevice is friendly and sincere, and there is enough kitsch to prove they truly love the legacy they still hold the torch for. I encourage you to give them a chance before judgement based on 'Remember when '. I did, and I will be back

The Manhattan I had was awesome. The decor is fun. Things change and they did a nice job with this place.
The best chicken wings Polish food ever! Plus always friendly bartenders wonderful wait staff! I have many fond memories of fun times, dancing to Ruth Adams band special celebrations and was a regular for 25 years! Thank you for the good times! Met a lot of great peeps. You will be missed!
Love this place! Old space but modernized with same nostalgic feel!!
