Description

A beloved Northside diner with a nostalgic, 70s-style atmosphere, generous portions and comforting classics—from pasties and broasted chicken to cinnamon rolls and strong coffee. Longtime locals praise its community feel, friendly staff and steady favorites available on Grubhub. Occasional quality lapses are reported (overcooked breakfast items, salty gravy) and weekend dinner service is limited; there are also isolated payment concerns. Ideal for families, neighbors and anyone seeking hearty, old-school diner fare.

I've visited this restaurant several times. It's clean, well-lit, and offers quick service. I ordered the meatloaf dinner with a side salad, which was $12, and it was so generous that I couldn't finish it all. The restaurant was a bit warm during my visit, as the air conditioning was reported to be out of order. However, it is wheelchair accessible.

Loved our gruff, but tender server. Amazing food, hash browns perfectly done, eggs and sausage just right. Coffee tasty.

I ordered the country fried steak and eggs, and I have to say it was fantastic. The hash browns were cooked to perfection, delivering a delightful crunch without being burnt. The eggs were cooked just right, a perfect over medium. Everything was served hot and fresh. Our server, Scarlett, was welcoming, friendly, and prompt with refills.

Like a snapshot of the 70s downtown city diner. Went for breakfast, which serves all of the regular eggs, meats, cakes. Everything we ate was good. No messing around, know what you want to order, and eat. Really good spot though, would go here again when we are in town.
