We had our dinner on the patio. We were back in a corner so it was quiet and more private. The patio was beautiful. A perfect evening. We both had the fillet mignon. Cooked perfectly. We had the au gratin potatoes loaded baked potato. Easy to get to. Plenty of parking.
Omg the outdoor seating area is beautiful! The food was good and nice service. The indoor seating area had some beautiful stained glass but it has a weird smell. Smells ?old?. Would definitely go back, but maybe not sit inside.
Very clean, not too crowded (yes) for the celebration of the early Mother's Day on Saturday with jax signature specialized games. Putting Rib and Hashbrowns are excellent I slap the turtle cheesecakes
The Owner's Failure I initially contacted Jax owner Bill Kozlak in late May, offering to pay him thousands of dollars to host a funeral luncheon in late July, for my mother. He agreed to do so, and I agreed to a food/beverage minimum to justify his expenses, along with a $500 down payment. I started to prepare funeral announcements that included his restaurant as the luncheon host. In subsequent contacts, with a tentative agreement already in place, we continued to negotiate peripheral details such as entree options and off script requests, which I assured him would be minimal. Then, suddenly, Mr. Kozlak ghosted me and ceased all communication, despite my repeated emails and voice messages, on two different phone numbers. I even tried to reach his event collaborator Haley, and his head cook Rob without success. In hindsight, the owner privately decided he did not want to host this luncheon, but he refused to tell me as much. As a result, I wasted two weeks of valuable preparation time during an already difficult time, waiting in vain for finalization of details, and I was forced to scramble to make a late change that should have been unnecessary. Mr. Kozlak displayed a stunning failure of professional and human decency. I invite you to consider that before patronizing his restaurant.
We were there today for brunch. Have been there for special occasions over the years and always pleased. Not today. The service was subpar, our server did not check on us. Our omelets were lukewarm and rather tasteless. The prime rib hash was also tasteless, poor quality meat. Could have gotten a better meal at Perkins for a lot less money. Will not be back.
