Fantastic new spot in Minneapolis! You absolutely have to try the tasting menu. It's the ideal setting for a dinner where you can have a relaxed conversation; we had a business dinner and were able to speak calmly without any interruptions. I recommend being adventurous with the menu; some of the best dishes are the more unconventional choices. The only feedback from our group was that the lamb entrée was a bit tough, but I truly believe that could have just been a fluke, as everything else was outstanding.
A hidden gem in Minneapolis! The food is creative and delicious, and the service is top-notch.
I consider myself a “foodie” and was very attracted to the four course tasting/pairing menu. Oh wow. Disgusting. Kohlrabi is my absolute favorite root. Ruined. That was a foul dish. The “Italian lullaby” cocktail tasted like cough syrup. Please don’t serve that to anyone else. Also, this dinner lasted nearly four excruciating hours. I ordered a pasta dish when I returned to my hotel. Actually approached our server finally to ask him if we could “please move this along.” Redemption: the “barbecue leek” amuse bouche was delightful. Best thing I ate there.
We had the tasting menu. I admire the creative use of ingredients and pairings that you wouldn't necessarily think of going well together (the server was very knowledgeable about the wine pairings). The liver tart was the best. I liked the pop of herring roe with the celeriac noodles. However, the duck was a little chewy and the pavlova was a little too sweet. The amuses were an unexpected treat (artichoke consommé and cucumber sorbet). Can't wait to come back.
We celebrated a birthday with some cocktails at the bar...great service and conversation. We also enjoyed a lovely dinner. We didn't do the full tasting menu, but chose several items. All were outstanding and the service was impeccable. The restaurant was lively, but not too noisy, so we could have great conversation. A very enjoyable evening. We will be back!
