Was Chau Giang Ngo Huynh (Katherine) at Bona a mag?
The food is absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend trying the Com Suon and Bun Bo Hue; both dishes are authentic and delicious. Plus, the prices are amazing! I found myself dining there almost every day. View all feedback.
What Caitlin Alker dislikes about Bona:
I've only sampled their cream cheese wontons, pho, and hot and spicy beef dish, but I've enjoyed everything I've tasted. The service is consistently excellent, and the staff is very friendly. Thank you! View all feedback.
We often go to bona to dinner before the game. no problem with sitting, go straight in. service is very fast, occasionally chatty, but generally not-nonsense what they want .friendly enough. the restaurant is simple, clean and tidy. had sweet broth pho w/ sweet and added to it today. After I had never (beef) pho, I have no reference and am Norwegian-American, I have no comments on authenticity. all that aside, I liked it for what it was. a broth soup with carrots, carrots, snowbsen and a large side dish made of pear sprouts, thai basilikum, lime and jalapeno slices. it has chased only one tade with sriracha and the luke. a small one was a lot for a person. the veggie spring rolls are simple, with reisnudel, drone, salat and zilantro. the erdnus sauce is pretty good. that rolls my man really. sweet only, no ice in the filling. (have never over the wrappers ask for no fish sauce (normal dip,) erdnusssauce! the bun tofu is also great. beautifully juicy roast tofu over reisnudele, salat, gurken, bohnensprossen. and the favorite of my man, fried kartoffeln and mock ente. not for someone who observes their figure! crispy roasted kartoffeln in a rich brown sauce with roasted wobble and good texture / flavor mock.
The pho can be made easily vegan and there is a tonne vegan options. I get the sweetpho with added tofu and it is amazing. my friend (not vegan) loves it too!
The food at this restaurant is truly comforting. I had the sweet and sour pork, which was slightly on the dry side, but the sauce was absolutely perfect. It was a classic sweet and sour pork with rice dish. Next time I visit, I think I'll try one of their noodle dishes!
Ate here often when working at the U. Always the same dish, chicken potato or potato chicken and always very satisfying. Years later seeing they are still going, I grubhubbed an order. Fried rice instead of plain and extra chicken for extra money. Received plain rice and a couple of pieces of chicken and the rest some kind of beef strips ,not very tasty. Maybe they have new management, or out of chicken, or maybe don't care. Grubhub refunded thankfully. Recommend eating there in person.
