Then we were sat and... read more Probably won't be back, mediocre food and lackluster service. Showed up at 830, was greeted by someone saying the kitchen was closing at 9. Then we were sat and the server explained if we didn't order fast the cook wouldn't make our meal. Might want toupdate the website, shows kitchen closes at 10pm. Generally speaking the server was inattentive, drinks never refilled waited10 minutes for the credit card to be run. We felt like we were annoying them by being there.

They serve 3 large pieces to start couldn't eat anymore but would have liked too! Tasty potato pancakes, plentiful and tasty fries. They make afine old fashioned! My Hubby enjoyed everything also. Looking forward to going back for Monday fried chicken, Taco Tuesday andthe rest???? Great service too.

We arrived at 5:45 and there were very few patrons in the... read more We just left the Silver Spring House after having the worst customer service we have ever experienced. We arrived at 5:45 and there were very few patrons in the building. We were seated directly adjacent to the hostess station within 10 minutes of ourarrival. However it took 40 minutes for a waitress to come to the table for our drink order. Once our food order was taken (weordered burgers and fish), we did not see the waitress again. Finally, we were able to flag someone down. The gentleman said hefind the manager. Instead, he sent our waitress out. The only thing she said was it 's only been 20 minutes . We had been therewell over an hour at that point. We waited another 15 to 20 minutes. We decided to leave. We never saw the manager, or our food. We came hungry and left hungry and disappointed. This would not have happened when the previous owners were around. We will notbe going back.

My husband found his cod slig... read more We arrived around 5:30 to try the fish fry. We began with the turkey dumpling soup and clam chowder, both of which were excellent. My husband found his cod slightly undercooked and a bit greasy and soggy. After finishing his, he helped himself to my perfectly cooked fish and really enjoyed it. He also loved the potato pancakes. The service was good, though my second drink came after I had already finished my meal. The atmosphere was better than I remembered, though it did get quite loud near the bar. We're planning to come back soon to try the burgers.
