I've been coming here for a while. I've done the ghost tour... done the tarot...convinced myself I've had a paranormal experience in the bathroom ... I've smoked cigars and had strangers buy me a $40 dram of scotch. It's a fun place and I really like their spirit selection. Last night we went for a drink and a cigar after dinner. The majority of the time I don't like the cigar i end up with and think they cost too mu... View all feedback.
What Cornell Hauck doesn't like about Shaker's Cigar Bar:
To expensive..you will be surprised when the Bill comes.. they like to run tabs...extra drinks put on the tab keep track ..food is not a bargin small portions.. great place to smoke a cigar..overpriced drinks View all feedback.
This place is kind of cool, it showed all old fashion Wisconsin. They had no great choice of alcohol or beer, but the cigars were expensive, there was only a small glass case of cigars and the bartender had to pull out what I wanted to look at. Too expensive. It won't come back.
Really cool place! We went for drinks and the ghost tour and they have so many options. Everyone was super friendly and it's a unique atmosphere but it fits well with the speakeasy vibe. Would love to do their other ghost tours in the future.
We all shared a pizza, it was very good. Cocktails were very good also, just be careful of the prices if your not getting rail. Think my friend ordered a drink with Angel 's Breath , and it was best Cocktails ever had however $35 each. We stayed for the fortune teller, she was impressive, as well as a ghost tour. This building has amazing history. I would encourage you to read up on history before the tour. It 's difficult to cover everything during the tour. You will appreciate your tour more with a little research. The atmosphere is fantastic, however the seating seems sparse so plan accordingly.
This bar was truly a cigar bar. You walk into a cloud of smoke. I'm not offended by the smoke but I wouldn't just hang out in here if I wasn't smoking a cigar. You'll definitely come out stinking. A group of us had signed up for a serial killer tour but had to come inside to check in. I would probably let people know on the website about that as it may have triggered some people. Drinks were okay, and service was a bit slow. We were unable to bring the drinks on the tour so it was a buy and chug situation. As probably everyone on the serial killer tour I recently watched the Dahmer show on Netflix. While watching the show I would casually Google things to get more knowledge on the guy because he was definitely messed up. I felt like our tour guide hadn't really prepared much for the tour and we didn't end up gaining new information from the entire thing. We would walk up and down the street and she showed us a few places but we didn't actually see much of anything on the tour. There were also some facts wrong. Not sure if it was our tour guide or the tour place as a whole, but I wouldn't dare spend another $45 on a ticket for something I can Google for 5 minutes.
This is a very interesting bar and cigar lounge. We went on a Monday evening, uncrowded, the only two people signed up for the Ghost tour, so got a very personalized tour. Cassi did a great tour, lots of stories and interesting history of the bar and previous activities. She was a very good story teller. The bartender was very personable and made a very good Mojito. The drink prices were a lttle high, but we had an excellent tour and visit. We felt it was very worth our time and mone the tour is reasonable and lasted about an hour.We did not try any food, the cooking area looked interesting, we did not see any food prepared while we were ther.
