My husband and I love Indian food as my husband?s family is from India and his mom is an amazing cook. Peshawar is hands down the best Indian/Pakistani food we have tried in Milwaukee!! We were very impressed- the food really is a taste of home! We dined in- friendly and fast service! View all feedback.
Don?t think just go here, and thank me later! Great taste, presentation, and quantity! We ordered paneer pakoda, seekh kabab, chicken 65, garlic naan, mutton biriyani, and mango lassi. Everything was wonderful! The service was pretty fast too, even though they were really busy. The spice level for seekh kabab and chicken 65 was medium if you don?t like spicy food, ask for mild spice!!
Great food and mouthwatering taste at affordable price. I had a wonderful experience with Kebab Platter, Biryani and Gajar ka Halwa so much so that I couldn't stop myself from making it as my go to place whenever I crave for authentic Indian and Pakistani food. I 100% recommend it to anyone who loves flavors ! And yeah, very active and polite staff.
This time, we opted for Peshawari mutton karahi, butter chicken, chana masala, and chicken pakora. Unfortunately, we found the food to be excessively salty. The chicken pakora was particularly unpalatable due to the saltiness. I expected more flavor from the mutton karahi, which was well-cooked and tender but lacked depth. It had a decent amount of heat for a regular spice level but tasted rather bland overall. The butter chicken sauce missed the signature tangy-sweet flavor typical of the dish and didn't resemble it much at all. The chana masala was tasty but, again, heavily salted. We paired the entrees with a few naans and some rice (which were not included with the entrees). The total cost was over $80! I understand prices have risen due to inflation, but this felt excessive. While the food filled us up, we left feeling unsatisfied. I'm giving them 2 stars for providing another Zabihah halal option, but unfortunately, this restaurant doesn't meet our expectations in terms of food quality and value.
The chicken was undercooked. I won't be going back.
This is the best biryani in town! I've sampled biryani from almost every restaurant around, and I've often been disappointed. In fact, I used to go all the way to Chicago just to find a decent one. However, today I spontaneously decided to try the Goat Biryani at Peshawar Restaurant, and it completely exceeded my expectations compared to what I usually get in Chicago. I highly recommend all biryani lovers to give it a try, and I sincerely hope that Peshawar Restaurant keeps up this incredible flavor in the future!
