Eclectica th... read more Goodkind delivers quite an imaginative menu in a great neighborhood. Their effort to serve local fresh ingredients is admirable. Drinks are great. Eclectica this is. If you're looking for a familiar dish or if your palette doesn't have the yin for new territory, this may not be your place. Service here was quite friendly but not exceptional. Awesome place to have some restorative beverages and experiment with food combinations. If there was a dependable component to the menu that one could lean back on, and a few items that were more recognizable for the less open-minded dinner guest :) - I'd visit this restaurant often. For now, it shall have to work infrequently...

Tucked away on a random corner in Bay View, Goodkind is definitely one of the best restaurants I've visited in the Milwaukee area. I stopped by for Sunday brunch and was seated immediately, though the restaurant wasbustling. If you've had the cocktails here, you understand why it was a semifinalist for the James Beard Award for best barprogram in 2022. Every drink was very creative and absolutely delicious. I ordered the lemon poppyseed cake and poutine as myentrees. The cake was perfect in its simplicity, I definitely recommend. The poutine was also excellent, and my waiter indicatedthat they apparently trial out a new recipe every week. I can't wait to come back and try their dinner menu!
