I really enjoy going to Cafe Grace for brunch. The food is delicious and the service is fantastic. I will be disappointed to see it close.
I was a little disappointed with the menu. It did not seem to be the same variety of entrees as my first visit was. I asked for a dinner salad and got a bowl of fu-fruit that were like 11.00. The trout was excellent, and the service was spot one. There was a couple closest to the table with a two-year-old and five years old, and the 2 year-old was cranky throughout the whole meal – far away from a child-friendly restaurant.
In general, the restaurant was just okay. There were no special menu items for Valentine's Day. The beet salad starter was excellent, but the entrees were mediocre. The scallops with brussel sprouts and grits were overcooked and lacked flavor, while the filet mignon was slightly better. The service was attentive and the wine list was decent. However, the prices were way too high and there are many other better dining options nearby.
We love the cozy atmosphere at this stylish restaurant. The chicken and scallops are very tasty. The menu is smaller than a few years ago. I miss the Skate and liked the mussels with wine broth better than beer. There was a slightly bitter taste which could have been from the beer.
