Even if you don't imbibe, everyone should at least visit this place, it's just the best !!! A local watering hole with a ton of flair. After a couple, wander across the street to the Scootic Inn restaurant , see review.

Hello Tommy St. John, this is Chuck "the hammer" Girard. Where is the $20 you owe me? You can pay me when you visit me at my bar in St. Croix, USVI!

Been coming to Millinocket for about 15 years now for an annual men 's/fishing trip and have stopped at the Ox at least once every time. Never was a TA member, so never had a chance to review, but just finished another trip to the area recently, so figured now is a good time. Very unique bar with different areas inside and out. Also a nice big old fireplace in the outdoor area. You will get a mix of everyone in here. Locals and tourists. On a given night, some can be quite intoxicated, so it 's definitely adults only. There is no food, but you won 't really find another place like this anywhere around or maybe even in New England, so check it out if you are in town and looking for a cold drink.
