This Saloon is a mini museum of all things Maine, a must visit if your from out of town!!! I had my first Maine milkshake milk and coffee liqueur) it was delicious I also ordered food to be delivered from Katadin Gen. Luckily the friendly ox owner had place mats, plates, silver wear, and dressing since KGen left out my dressing) The Owner, his dog Jack,and customers were all very welcoming. The bar owner was super nice. At the time of our visit there was no food, but he had menus from some local restaurants that supplied us and liked to bring us the food. In addition, he had a large outdoor space, and since it was a cool evening. He started a fire and made sure we were comfortable. The Blue Ox Saloon is definitely a place where we go back to our next pass through Millinocket.
The Best Bar in the area! The owner was very friendly and served us some great beers. A must visit if you are in Millinocket.
Quirky and wonderful local bar!! Highly recommend it for local ambiance. Can order food from other local spots for delivery. Did pizza from across the street
Fast service, great atmosphere and good drinks will have you feeling welcome and at home at the Ox. Pool tables, pianos and an occasional dog make this a must visit spot in town.
Great fun plus Tom also owns a hostel a block up the street that even had air conditioned rooms for AT hikers. It was a brothel in the 1900's so I had to stay there too. Nice indeed.
