This is the only food truck I follow for when they are nominally near the 'hood. The best fish and chips I 've had in Denver and it comes in a styrofoam box from a truck! Unbelievable! Their quality is white table cloth standard that you can take home or like I did this Tuesday in Broomfield eat in your car! I recommend the extra fish option ..... but then I 'm a fan for having a second meal possibility. There might... View all feedback.
What Curt S doesn't like about On The Hook:
Positives Service was excellent. Vendors are pleasant. Fish was fresh. Negatives Batter was way under seasoned. Just tasted like fried flour. So unfortunate. Around here they're in a parking lot on a major street. We want to eat while it's hot, but hate eating in that spot with nothing but cars and a gas station around us. View all feedback.

Always amazing and delicious!! Fish comes out hot a crispy! You get a lot of food for the price. Can't pass by when we see on the hook!
Where's the fish? I really don't understand why people like this so much. I have tried it twice thinking the first time was a weird mistake, but there was barely any fish in the breading both times. I mean less than 1/2 thin strips of fish if there is any at all. I got one piece that was just fried batter. I would expect some fish for the $16. Go if you want the just chips and sauce since that was the only good part, but don't go for the fish. You won't find it.
I love fish and chips! BUT... fish meat is good at On the Hook but not the overcooked batter or was it the overused cooking oil that gave an overcooked flavor and color? 2/6 Milliken. Battered fish normally when cooked in a deep fryer is lighter in color? At least at the Pourhouse in Loveland, London, and Australia! Will get fish and chips at Pourhouse next time.
Love love love on the hook. We go every time the truck is in the hood. The fish and chips are superb and prices are great. Super crispy and fresh. And the chipotle tartar is to die for. Highly recommend.
